A beautiful mottled-yellow 1950s Swedish handle-jug designed by Carl-Harry Stålhane for the Rörstrand Factory.  The pottery, stoneware jug, features a wonderful smooth and tactile glaze in subtle marble effect yellow tones.  Inscribed on the base:  SWEDEN CHS SYE (Model Number).  I find the design absolutely stunning and the vase incredibly tactile.  The jug is in very good vintage condition.

Biography from The British Museum: Carl-Harry Stalhane was a Swedish ceramic artist who worked for the Rörstrand porcelain works in Lidköping. He trained as a painter in Stockholm and as a sculptor in Paris before joining Rörstrand in 1939 at the age of 19. He was soon promoted to be artistic director and chief designer. In addition to his studio art pieces, he designed functional dinnerware. While still working at Rörstrand he also taught ceramics from 1963 to 1971 at the Konstindustrieskolen in Göteborg. He left Rörstrand in 1973 to set up his own studio, Designhuset, in Lidköping.
